This project began with the introduction of Geometric versus Organic shapes and where they can be found in our environment. With this knowledge students ripped colored paper to create a collage then draw 6-8 shapes of their choice. Using construction crayons to fill in their shapes students were able to experiment with color blending. The second day student created a printing plate that consisted of cut pieces of cardboard onto a larger rectangular piece of cardboard that they then used a briar to roll ink upon to then press their collage onto to get the desired effect.
