Students were introduced to Paul Klee who was famous for his powerful color and unique style. Their objectives were to choose an animal (one that could roam the earth), fill the page with the animal, create detail and use any colorsto solidly fill in the page. If students wanted to make a turquoise and yellow cat then they could do just that. Students then learned how to map out lines on the back of their animals to then cut into strips so they could weave their paul klee's into a checkerboard pattern.
