For this project students were introduced to the artist Piet Mondrian along with the three Primary Colors. Students began with drawing large scale animals then used horizontal and vertical lines to mimic Mondrian's famous style. Using acrylic paint, students practiced controlled painting skills to keep their Primary Colors from mixing together. The final step was to create a border for their animals using the same techniques except with marker instead of paint.
